Ignoring the countrywide condemnation of its Hindutva policy, the RSS has now turned to West Bengal to launch its much-vaunted anti-conversion programme with the help of one of its outfits, Bajrang Dal. At the three-day camp held in Berhampore in Murshidabad from January 24 to January 28, the RSS decided to deploy Bajrang Dal activists to forcibly reconvert people of other religion to Hinduism. This is part of a package of mandates the Bajrang Dal members will have to carry out using threats as their main weapon. And for this purpose, areas mainly inhabited by poor tribal people have been singled out. At the Berhampore camp several state level BJP leaders were present who directed the Bajrang Dal to immediately take upon themselves the task charted out to them by the RSS. Other outfits of the RSS have also been asked to participate in the programme.

Initially draw sympathy of the local people some societies for social reforms will be formed and leaflets and books will be distributed among the unsuspecting rural people explaining the virtues of Hinduism. Thousands of leaflets will be distributed exonerating the RSS for attacks on the Christians and Subsequently to prove the superiority of Hinduism a campaign of hatred will be launched against other religions.
