BJP will be celebrating very soon its 365 days' rule at the centre.

But the does myth that was created about its capability of governance still exist by now? Where has gone that famous ad-line: Stable Government and able PM? A catchword that formed a part of every political write-up appearing in the press when the BJP assumed power at the centre?

If staying on in office means stability, completion of 365 days in power can well be called a the stable government. But how did it carry on these 365 days? Leaning on the crutches provided by the support of 15 and odd parties, would the continuation in office be called a stable government? Braving snipes and snippets from this ally or that ally, what a tight rope- walking this government indulged in to remain in office all these days! True, its survives 365 days but at what cost? One single word is enough: Governance.

Inept, blundering, rolling back, communal, and corrupt - all these can be attributed to BJP while in government. The main foundation of the Indian system of governance has been under assault. Democracy and secularism - both are casualties in BJP's 365 days' regime. Intolerance towards minorities is the main plank of their governance. Corruption has become order of the day. Ex-Naval Chief and former Economic Advisor to the Finance Minister have spilled the beans. While Defence Minister is accused of in league with arms dealers, Prime Minister and other important Ministers are alleged to have been patronizing one big industrial house or the other. What else remains, when BJP government's main ally AIDMK supremo accuses the BJP leader and Union Home Minister L.K. Advani for having acted in tandem with the extremists!

An accusation of such a tenor from BJP's own ally is a pointer to the kind of governance, the countrymen are experiencing today.
