It may be recalled that while participating in the discussion on issues raised by former advisor to the finacen minister Mohan Guruswamy and the alleged Inprotries arising therefrom on 15th March in Rajya Sabha the Shiv Sena MP leveled charges against Prime minister office for protecting Reliance Industries. He said that though he is from the ally party of the government he would have to reveal something which are in the interest of the nation. He said I have got all proves. Guruswamy had said many thing about Prime Minister but in one particular place he said that when raids were to take place on Reliance prime minister tried to stopped that but Advani did not allowed him to succeed and raid took place. Raid was held and some specific thing was hushed up and I will reveal something because the raid took place on the basis of one issue raised by me. One issue was that of Romesh Sharma the other issue was adulteration of the petroluem.This was a scandal involving Rs.50,000 to Rs 60,000 and Reliance is involved on it.Much before the Romesh Sharma episode on 9th October I had written to prime minister the copy of the letter is with me and I can give a copy anyone who will ask .He too had acknowledge me of the receipt of that letter. That’s all.This was a such an important issue and I had written a three page long letter and also sought a time from the prime minister mentioning that I have all the documents.Six months have passed since October. After writing the letter on 9th October I had raised the issue on 12th in the Standing Committee of Petroleum and natural gas of which I am the member that adulteration is taking place which is destroying the vitals of our society.This is not the first time that adulteration is taking place ,it is going on for years.During British rule too adulteration use to take place but on very miniscule scale. But for the last few years more specifically since 1990 Reliance is such a business house which is directly indulging in adultration.And the reason for Reliance in indulging in the adulteration in impunity is that it has in the possession a quota of naptha.It has a naphtha quota of three lakh metric tonne which is being misused by them by selling it to the pumpowners.Proof of all this have been given in writing to the Standing Comittee.At that time in the standing committee Nirmal Singh joint secretary of the Petroleum ministry was present.He said that yes such complaint has come to us. We have enquired and after inquire we have found that Reliance is using naphtha quota. Naphtha which is only Rs.7 litere is being mixed with Rs,27 litter worth petrol.Within fifteen days after Nirmal Singh had made this statement charge was taken from him.After this when I saw that government id doing nothing I wrote a letter to petroleum minister Ramamuthy.

Point to Santosh Gangawar State minister of petroleum and natural gas Patel had said that Santosh gangawar is here, I wrote to him also. He rang up me at Bombay also and told me that we are making statement here and there it would be better if you write to me I would take action.Till today he had not take any action. I wrote to him and gave details. Sought his appointment. Sought appointment from Ramamuthy,sought appointment of prime minister.Only one person who took action on this and that person is Advani who had even ordered raid.After waiting for five to ten days I gave an interview to Zee TV which was shown by Zee naming "break n news". I had described in detail in that program how adulteration is taking place, what is taking place,in what dimension it is taking place, about the naphtha quota for the last ten to twelve years.Finance minister also knows about this.For the last 10-12 years there have been no hike in the price of naptha.Just because Rs7 litre naphtha is being sold as Rs27 as petrol.That is why no change in the naphtha prices even in this budget there is no change.Finance minister had leveled one rupees as duty on diesel but did not touch naphtha because sixty to seventy percent of the country’s naphtha goes to Reliance.Bascially the naphtha given to Reliance is for manufacturing zealine. They use about twenty percent of it and returns eighty percent .Till 1990-92 the return was taking place.But since 1992 to 1999 not a drop has been returned and all was misused for adulteration of petrol.But even after that when nothing happened then after seven eight days I told the Zee Tv that tankers are coming out of Reliance plant, voucher of the tanker, the statement of the driver of that vechile,going towards pump and unloading of the liquid I revealed all. But even then no action was taken by the petroleum ministry, prime minister office but no one took any action neither said anything to me.They are sitting quietly, Patel charged.
