The city of Calcutta is going to appear as a speedy metro by its newest traffic arrangements. New arrangements will help you to travel 5.5 kilometres stretch within 8 minutes by underground metro and 23 minutes by bus. Metro Railway is already taking you to Tollygunge from Exide crossing within the shortest possible time. But the second green corridor arrangements will start soon to carry the bus passengers of South Calcutta by comfortable times quick running of vehicles would be possible by green corridor system throughout the route. Calcutta Police has taken a programme to include. Park Circus Jadavpur route into this project. It is expected that he 1 crore will be incurred for this two projects.

Calcutta has already introduced green corridor system throughout the Central Avenue. But this programme has not completed in accordance with the scheme. The entire project was not completed due to land shortage. Rs 1.20 crore were required, but the fund of Rs. 60 lacks was available. The fund shortage has compelled the administration to work with some manual signaling system instead of automatic signaling system. This synchronised system will provide the driver with an advantage by which he will get continuos green signal from Tollygunge to Exide crossing. Third green corridor from Jadavpur to Park Circus will take 20 minutes with a speed of 25-30 Kilometre per hour. Presently Calcutta traffic system has been operated through auto manual arrangements, by which people are facing the hazards of slow driving. Calcutta people have a high hope to get rid of these hazards by the green corridor systems. Calcutta has a real problem of population pressure and shortage of space. At the same time he number of vehicles are increasing day by day and the goods carriers are entering into the city. The pressure of population and vehicles are creating the traffic harards. State administration in collaboration of Calcutta Police has taken a comprehensive projects to manage the situation.
