The caretaker Prime Minister of India Atal Beharai Vajpayee's one day visit to West Bengal has created a wide spread criticism. In his visit caretaker Prime Minister has attended the government functions like, foundation stone laying of Metro Railway expansion project, inauguration of CD of Tagore's song and centenary celebration of poet Najrul Islam. All the three functions were organised by government wings but the audiences were invited by BJP and TMC. At every function Prime Minister was accompanied by TMC leader Mamata Banerjee and BJP leader Tapan Sikdar. These three government functions were turned into political gathering and stage for election campaign.

It is clear from the evidences that TMC and BJP leaders has chalked out the plan to use Prime Minister and governmental machinery in their own interest. The expansion programme of Metro Railway was demanded by the left parties for a long time on the other hand Mamata Banerjee and her party has tried to avoid the issue by demanding the resurvey of Metro rail project. Not only on the issue of Metro Rail; TMC and BJP have not taken any initiative for the demands of West Bengal. But the caretaker Prime Minister has openly mentioned "the whole credit for the implementation of the project should go to Mamata Banerjee." Vajpayee also said, "We should learn from Mamata, how to get the demands from the government. Even in the junction related to the inauguration Tagore's CD, Prime Minister has referred their election symbol lotus with so many words.

TMC and BJP leaders has selected the arena of Tagore and Najrul as the two poets were associated with Bengal's education culture and tradition. The heritage of communal harmony, unity and secularism were reflected from Tagore and Najrul's literacy output. BJP and its allies were hypocrite enough to associate themselves with Tagore and Najrul at the cause unity and harmony. It can be clearly stated that the motive behind the paying homage to Tagore and Najrul is nothing but the campaign for election. Vajpayee is saying that RSS is my soul. At the same time he is reciting for which is contrary that ideal.

We should expose the actual face of Vajpayee's team in the ensuing election and should give a fitting rebuff to the hypocrisy of these politicians.
