Power of a dream
One of the most important faculties of human beings is the
ability to dream; even more vital has been the intention and capability of a few to make
these dreams happen. On September 28, 1988, the Left Front government dared to dream about
a project which for many at that time, seemed to be part of fanciful imagination if not
downright political gimmickry; on Saturday, the first test operation and synchronisation
of unit 1 of the Bakreshwar Thermal Project was not only successful but was a slap on the
face of those who had saw only meaningless political slapsticks in it. |

embarrassing features for a section of the opinion making people in the country. The
project has been completed in 37.5 months against the target of 42 months |
