Sugargate
India continued to import Sugar from Pakistan even as kargil war went on. Who were the beneficiaries - reportedly the sugar mills owned by Nawaz Sharif and his family as well as ISI’s Army Welfare Trust in Pakistan...But then why such a hue and cry was made about cricket between the two Countries? Don’t ask for logic. It is the RSS – BJP perception of patriotism that takes care of the interests of the traders / owner / industrialist / World Bank, while fanning jingoism among the people of India.
