Trina Mool Congress (TMC), the main ally of BJP in West Bengal, has been aptly named as ‘Vajpayee Congress’ by CPI (M) General Secretary Harkishen Singh Surjeet recently because of TMC leader Mamata Banerjee’s unabashed servility to Vajpayee and his party. As a client who is more eloquent than the pleader, the TMC leader and his party are exhibiting their collaboration with the fascist sponsors through premeditated acts of violent attacks on their political opponents targeting mainly the CPI (M). The TMC hoodlums had the temerity to attack a national leader like Surjeet twice on 23^rd September in Calcutta. Before this barbaric attack on CPI (M) General Secretary, the Party’s State Secretary was attacked a few days back in Nadia District in West Bengal. CPI (M) party members / sympathisers are being murdered during election campaign. Police is being asked publicly by the TMC leader to revolt against the elected Govt. In the TMC’s election manifesto an open declaration has been given that CPI (M) party office and ‘Ganashakti’ would be forcibly occupied if TMC and its ally (BJP) come to the power. The voice of fascism is becoming shriller day by day. Thanks to the backing of a major section of local press whose blind hatred of the Marxists are overlapping all other considerations so vital for the state and the country.

But we have faith in the people of West Bengal. They are the best judge and in the background of their struggle against undemocratic and fascist forces, they would strike, and strike with all the strength at their command to nip in the bud such evil forces who are hell bent on recreating the days of 70s back in West Bengal.
