The victory of SFI and AISF in the JNUSU election represents the verdict of the student community against the Vajpayee government polices of communalisation of education and financial dehydration of higher education.

The election result once again denotes the high esteem the Left and Democratic student movement enjoys among the students of the country’s foremost learning institutions. This victory will boost the morale of the left and democratic student movement all over the country. The CEC of SFI congratulates the student of JNU on this occasion.

Despite gaining highest of votes among SFI-AISF combine candidates the Joint secretary candidate Narshimamoorthi lost by only 19 votes due unholy alliance of NSUI and ABVP. NSU which got more than five hundred votes in president and general secretary seats got only 224 in joint secretary post, clearly justifies our viewpoint.
