We are yet to know the future of Bihar. Now the Governor has to decide upon the next government and the Chief Ministership of Bihar. But it is evident from the results that BJP is not happy with their performance. What was the expectation of BJP and its partners? Ramvilas Paswan was confident the NDA will get 170 seats. But the expectation has been shattered by the People’s mandate in Bihar. The opinion poll conducted by different media groups before the election has also focussed the election results in favour of NDA. They were confident that the BJP & its partners will sweep away the election in Bihar and Laloo Prasad Yadav will be ousted. DDI Exit poll has made it clear that NDA will get thumping majority in Bihar poll. But the election result proves that Laloo Prasad Yadav has been weak, injured but still alive. It also proved that the policy of NDA govt. is not getting clear support from the people. They are not in a position to rule the entire country as projected by media. Not only in Bihar, but also in West Bengal the bye-election result clearly indicates people’s evertarting support for left front.

In this by poll Left Front has regained two seats from Congress and TMC in West Bengal. In one seat TMC is in Third position and in the other seat TMC is in Second position. This is not the reflection of TMC’s massive support as publicised by print and electronic media. With a target of ensuing assembly election media is regularly focussing that the support for left front is in decreasing trend. We must be sure that the opinion poll is not the people’s poll. Only the election result can tell the truth of mind not the astrology made by journalists.
