They say they have money they have money for other purposes but not for home for homeless and poor, and weaker section of people, those who are tooling masses. We had gone to the Prime Minister Vajpayee after they tried to bring down the Wajipur jhgis. The Prime Minister agreed with us and said that something should be done. They agreed to have nation policy about the jhuggi jhopri. But no word till then they wants that the people should remain in such miserable conditions, should be tortured and harassed by the administrations and police, they have to be given money. They do not want that those who are the toiling people of the country and had to come all the way from the village uprooted once live in peace and a human life with dignity. He hoped the purpose the campaign to rise the janchetana of the people in and around in Delhi will be a success. He said already one success have been achieved when the railways and the government have to changed their plan of uprooting the thousands of poor and mazdoor from the Wajipur jhugi jhopir camp and said that said that more victories can be achieved if the people get united and take resolve to fight this unjust. CPI lead AB Bardhan who was the first speaker said that incidentally today is the Ambdehar Jyanti the person who had tremendous contribution. But now the present government wants to change done away with. The people have to be very viligant and we take here a pledge that we will not allow at any cost fulfilling their wish. He said VP Singh and we have started a campaign from Wajirpur. They, the railway ministry and the Delhi government had planned to bulldozed the jhugi jhopri but they have to relent. On the one hand they are demolsihg the houses of the poor on the other hand they have increased the prices of essential commodities to be supplied from the PDS. He said that the struggle has to be continued and said that has to be taken to new heights. And hoped that the people will massively response to the May 16 rally.
