The Western and Southern part of the country have been facing seviour drought and famine for last few weeks. Thousands and thousands of people are leaving their villages for a drop of water and food. In Gujrat and Rajasthan drought affected villages are even without any relief services from the State Governments. BJP Government in Gujrat has taken no initiative for the relief work, even they ordered firing on the people demanding for water. 3 innocent villagers were killed by police firing. Hightech Chief Minister Chandra Babu Naidu has also failed to face the drought crises in Andhra Pradesh. Some villagers have taken the path of suicide without having any option to live. Andhra Pradesh Govt. has not sent any relief materials to that villages but decided to send a team of Psychiatrtst to know the cause of suicides. We can only labell these approaches as in human. Central Govt. is also inactive to respond to the demand of the drought affected areas. NDA Govt. is spontaneously active for funding the test of nuclear bombs but negative towards the help for famine affected people. Central Govt. and the concerned State Govts should be more attentive to the problems drought affected prople.
