Vasireddy Satyanarayana B .V.Raghavulu, Secretary A.P.State Committee of C.P.I(M) demanded AP State Government to order for a judicial enquiry to find out who are responsible for violence in state and who are the instigatiors. While addressing press conference in Hyderabad on Thursday Raghavulu asked Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu either to concede his demand and order for judicial enquiry or to stop his misinformation campaign against Communists alleging that they are resorting to violence and instigating people. He condemned allegations levelled by C.M. against Communists during the past two days. It may be recalled Chandrababu Naidu out of his intolerance at spate of mass agitations in the State against anti -people policies of his government and that of central Govt. supported by his party, Chandrababu Naidu accused that communists are instigating innocent people to take up violent agitations.Raghavulu madi it clear that various sections of people are coming out for participation in agitations out of their discontent caused by failure of state govt. to fulfil its own promises. Raghavulu pointed out that left parties are not behind the contractors who staged dharna demanding for immediate payment of arrears. Electricity Board engineers have taken up path of agitation not because of communists. Victims of police lathi charge in connection with picketings on 17th are none but people but Chandrababu blames the same people of resorting to violence. Raghavulu made it clear picketers did not attack officers or employees at any of the govt. offices. He recalled instances of intolerance of Chief Minister like shouting at people in Public meetings aksing them to shut up, threatening to ban trade unions threatening government officials. Raghavulu said police emboldended by such utterances by Chief Minister, are resorting to violent attacks against people. He pointed out the instance of inaction of Govt. when a former Naxalite Sammaiah demonstrated fire arms at a press conference in Hyderabad, While announcing his plans to organise a private army. Raghavulu questioned govt. on how it can curb voilence, with such behaviour. He asked the govt. to condemn the attempt of sammaiah, if police and state Govt. are not behind him. Pointing out Chandrababu saying that Communists are instigating agitations on non-issues, Raghavulu questioned whether increasing prices of Rice, Fertilisers, Electricity are not issues. If not why T.D.P. in parliament appeled for roll back on price increase. Raghavulu made it clear that we are mobilising people on the same issues. Raghavulu said that while state was reeling under drought nothing was being done. C.P.I.(M) State Committee has put forth concrete suggestion to provide immediate relief to drought hit people. |
